Every Saturday thru March 17, enjoy a “Slice of La Verne's Past” while picking some of the best tasting oranges around. The Heritage Foundation offers one of the last working orange groves in the area as a place to enjoy with your family & they supply mesh bags and fruit-picking poles. For details see Oranges.

The 2012 OC Fair is July 13-August 12 and is open Wednesday-Sunday with the theme “Home Sweet Home.” Mark a couple of dates on your calendar for staffing our booth at the fair - you'll get free admission & parking.
April
The Green Scene Plant & Garden Show is Sat, April 14 & Sun, April 15 at the Fullerton Arboretum. Chairman Don Winterstein will be looking for volunteer sales persons and fruit tree experts so be ready to pick a date.
February
On Saturday, February 25, from 10am to 12pm - Rain or Shine - there will be a Cherimoya tasting of the fruit grown at the South Coast Research & Extension Center at 7601 Irvine Blvd (near Sand Canyon Ave.), Irvine, CA 92618 - see the event flyer at SCREC.

On Saturday, 3 March, the CA Cherimoya Assoc Annual Meeting will be held in Altadena starting at 10am with various speakers and displays. Admission is $25 and also includes CCA membership, BBQ lunch & door prizes. For directions and complete information see Cherimoya.
The 2012 Festival of Fruit will be held in conjunction with the National Heirloom Expositon on September 11, 12 & 13 in Santa Rosa. Details on how this combination will work are still being developed. However, to find out what the National Heirloom Expositon is all about click on NHS.
